Personally, I fully agree that we undoubtedly need rights in our lives as any system needs to be under control. First and foremost, rights are mandatory in order to maintain peace. If we hadn’

Kurt Melcher, who runs the program at Robert Morris, said that games adopted for the academic environment develops strategy teamwork. I’d like to support the statement basing on the New York Times’ articles on the topic of using technology in education.   In one of NY articles named « Programmed for success » it is written: «in 2013 students started organizing themselves, creating their own opportunities for gaming. »…«Players attend practice Monday through Thursday, from 4:30 to p.m., with an hour break for dinner. They analyze film, participate in team-building activities, and sit for communication sessions. » What that means is that students learn how to collaborate with each other by playing games. It is moreover a great opportunity for them to win a prize and pay for their education – a great motivation, isn’t it?

Final topic. Rights

All people all the globe around have rights of different kinds. The right of freedom that is the first right I'm on to describe is the right of seeing the world and doing what you love, which is undoubtedly significant. In our century, all people are free both to organize and also to participate in the variety of events such as festivals or carnivals. The Notting Hill Carnival in London is definitely worth visiting especially if you enjoy dancing and trying out various attractions. If you get along with listening to a classical music you should visit the Musical Olympus International Festival in St. Petersburg. Concerts and talent shows are there for people. That’s how people are fully able to do whatever they want nowadays. What is not less essential in our lives is the freedom of moving from place to place which is the way of changing our lifestyles. Such a right we fortunately have these days. The example is below. Clara has just moved to a new house in countr

Signs

To begin with here is the question : how do we understand each other? Giving an answer to the question above, I make a reference to  Mark Evans, who is the specialist of non-verbal communications. He says that human body gives more reliable information than the words we speak. He also recognizes the involuntary signs of lies. Apart from  facial expressions and postures there is another international universal language – music, which brings people together. “WOMAD” or “Global Village” is the famous festival of arts, music and dance. Describing it more in details , the festival clarifies that music breaks down language barriers. The idea of WOMAD festival is the brainchild of Peter Gabriel.     When it comes to our less mentally developed neighbors, each species of animals also use its own unique way of communications. For instance, scents are essential among ants. Body color is significant for either attracting or warding off other animals. Touches may mean a lo

Home schooling

1. What is homeschooling?  This text reveals advantages and disadvantages of home education and also describes what HS itself is about. 2. Comments on homeschooling in Russia.  Here, a mother from Russia was dissapointed with studying at home and made her child attending state school again. But that is the only her own opinion, as she mentions in the conclusion. 3.Essay According to wikipedia, homeschooling, also known as home education is the education of children inside the home, which is conducted by a parent or tutor, with the varying level of education formality. While for some it may seem to be mostly ineffective, I still consider such education's advantages overweigh the ones of the ordinary one significantly, what has been already proved factually. To begin with, what should be undoubtedly listed as one of the greatest advantages of such a studying method is that your children are kept in touch as proximity remains for the most of the time a day. What that means is t

Essay. Time management and leisure activities

Time-management is what the considerable amount of people call “slippery subject”, while for others time-management is something which is able to change their life completely. In the next paragraph I am presenting the information on what are the most popular ways of spending time among teenagers and also how to organize time better as well. To begin with, it is not surprising that watching TV and social networking are permanently at the peak of the list how teenagers spend their leisure time most frequently, though I believe that social networking has become an integral part of our everyday life. Except social media, teenagers enjoy doing sport, attending drama clubs, listening to music and a variety of other extracurricular activities, such as dancing, or singing. Talking of leisure time spent by adults, something ‘historical’ may be observed as well. Going to the pub still remains the most popular activity of British outside their home, with the only thing changed which is that

Social networks. Ideas

1) Social networks are perfect for meetings arrangement; 2) Social networks are great as online calendars (birthdays/reminders); 3) Social networks are very comfortable for adding notes. For instance, this can be a list of films to watch or books to read. Also it can be a cooking recipe, or your own notes as well; 4) Social networks are helpful if you need to conduct a survey; 5) And finally, social networks is flawless, when it comes to listening to music and creating your personal playlists, where all of the songs that you enjoy the most are collected together.

Social networks. Essay

Even though most of the ideas have been described already, I’d like to add some of the interesting facts that I know about social networking. Have you known that we feel ourselves “addicted” to social networking not only because of psychological but mostly because of the physiological (neurochemical) processes and substances generated in our brains? Being more precisely, these substances are dopamine and oxytocin. Dopamine is responsible for our desires and also that is what makes us looking for what is most desirable for us, what is more is that hormone dopamine is in charge of   opportunity of getting self-rewarded. And that is what social media are entirely saturated with. Factually, the influence of dopamine is that irresistible (/is irresistible at such a degree) that the addiction to reposts and likes is much stronger than the addiction to cigarettes and alcohol. Simply, the identical brain areas are stimulated while smoking and chatting. Oxytocin is also called ‘horm

Environment and study

When it comes to studying foreign languages, have you known that we can spend time with use and joy simultaneously? Let me tell you about myself. I think that any kind of listening practice is very useful, and so, why not to combine watching your favorite TV series with learning english, as for the example. And so, I usually do it before I fall asleep. Each episode basically lasts no longer than 30 minutes, and what that means is that almost daily I have 30 minutes of listening to the foreign speech. It is interesting that after a week of watching 'Avatar the last Airbender' series I found it absolutely casual not to pay any attention to the foreign speech I am listening to, as if english was my natural language.  In other words, even though some of the words could be misunderstood, I always knew what was the main idea. It comes like 'tick', after what you no longer need to strain your hearing and listen that intently, and so you just understand the meaning. Not only

Time management

Talking of time management as a skill of spending time in the most useful and effective way, I remind myself about Steve Jobs, who was and still he is the one of the greatest entrepreneurs of the world.  One of the most critical periods in his life was related to the departure from Apple Company, when the c ompany officials made Jobs leave his own-started company. Not to waste his time, right after leaving Apple company Jobs started another computer company called NeXT, after what Steve bought well-known  all the world around Pixar Animation Studios, that would later make one of the most popular movies ever created - 'Toy Story','Finding Nemo' and 'The incredibles'.  The example above illustrated how essential it is not to giveup and also not to waste your time. A true example of a great time manager of his life. Another real example of using time management skills in life is Bill Gates and what he does in sake of his company. When Gates was a student, he

My own clever school

Some of the problems of modern schools:  1) lack of free time, comminication and having fun with friends;  2) Children are dismotivated;  3) Students are exhausted because of constant learning; 4) Students are not socialized and not adapted to life because of studying as the only thing that they are cared of in their lives. Solutions: 1) Studying time limitation; 2) Free choice of the subjects to study and also of orginising their own time. 3) Making school workshops be compulsory in education. (Cooking/building/crafting/swimming/boxing/singing/violin lessons)  Also: 1) Education is now about starting friendship and partnership.  2) Class size: the less the number of students attend classes the more effective the studying is. 3) More 'life school' subjects like the lessons of psychology and survival school. 4) Uniform is serious and plain, but there are no rules of dress-code.

The weirdest essay ever.

Nowadays people all around the world are extremely lucky for having an opportunity of travelling. What is more, each of us has his own right to choose the best way of doing it. Some people believe that the best way of seeing the world is in group, with a tour guide. Although, my own opinion on this is that travelling is most joyful while travelling alone, with no limits, feeling free and doing whatever only springs up in mind. Let me give you a piece of example.   Here comes the “short story”. To begin with, a lot of travellers were inspired of the Joule Verne’s novel “Journey to the centre of the Earth”. That is because the fascinating adventures are described there. Though, that is just a fantasy.  But talking of the nearest future, one famous American entrepreneur-inventor is about to turn some fantasies into the reality. One of his brightest projects is the ‘Hyperloop’, which is a vacuum train, which will be able to reach the speed of a thousand of kilometers per hour, w
1) These are the people, who reached success in their lives. Or just the people that are kindhearted and patient, always ready to help you. 2) The best way of improving grammar knowledge is doing exercises and learning from your mistakes. The best way of improving verbal skills is obviously speaking for a significantly long period of time. 3) Some of my friends, for instance, David and Kirill usually stay at school after lessons and do a lot of extra-curricular activities, like attending the school theatre club or 4) Talking of the most memorable recent event that is the Falcon Heavy launch on February 6 by SpaceX Company. By now, this rocket's carrying capacity is considered the highest among all of the space vehicles existing nowadays. Moreover, Elon Musk's (SpaceX/Tesla CEO) Tesla Roadster sport car was left in outer space drifting towards the Mars orbit. 5) Who is the graduate that I know? In fact, that is my brother, who had finished his education by the age of 22, in

In our modern world, we use a lot of new modern technologies that makes our life less difficult and more comfortable. I'd like to tell more about this. To begin with, there are a lot of types of technologies an average person uses daily, personally, most frequently I use my IPhone, wireless headphones and charger, so as to listen to a music and to keep both my phone and headphones charged.

Final topic 5M

To begin with, the name of the topic is "Modern Living", so we may definately assume it is about the modern technologies. By the next paragraph I'll present a little of the information from the texts of the fifth module, so as to reveal its main features. The first text is about the girl Tanya. Since childhood she's been dreaming of becoming a fashion designer. She started with simple outfits for her dolls and progressed to the point where even her grandmother said she was much better than her at making clothes. Eventually, she has also proved to her father that she's made the right choice in her life. Another text from this module describes the way teenagers keep their parents in the dark about their conversations. Some text abrbreviations are now part of everyone's text vernacular, such as: LOL, CUL8R. But others, like PAW and LMIRL are a way to KPC. Thinking of humanity's way too negative influence on nature, an exciting question would be how to
