Essay. Time management and leisure activities

Time-management is what the considerable amount of people call “slippery subject”, while for others time-management is something which is able to change their life completely. In the next paragraph I am presenting the information on what are the most popular ways of spending time among teenagers and also how to organize time better as well. To begin with, it is not surprising that watching TV and social networking are permanently at the peak of the list how teenagers spend their leisure time most frequently, though I believe that social networking has become an integral part of our everyday life. Except social media, teenagers enjoy doing sport, attending drama clubs, listening to music and a variety of other extracurricular activities, such as dancing, or singing. Talking of leisure time spent by adults, something ‘historical’ may be observed as well. Going to the pub still remains the most popular activity of British outside their home, with the only thing changed which is that

Social networks. Ideas

1) Social networks are perfect for meetings arrangement; 2) Social networks are great as online calendars (birthdays/reminders); 3) Social networks are very comfortable for adding notes. For instance, this can be a list of films to watch or books to read. Also it can be a cooking recipe, or your own notes as well; 4) Social networks are helpful if you need to conduct a survey; 5) And finally, social networks is flawless, when it comes to listening to music and creating your personal playlists, where all of the songs that you enjoy the most are collected together.

Social networks. Essay

Even though most of the ideas have been described already, I’d like to add some of the interesting facts that I know about social networking. Have you known that we feel ourselves “addicted” to social networking not only because of psychological but mostly because of the physiological (neurochemical) processes and substances generated in our brains? Being more precisely, these substances are dopamine and oxytocin. Dopamine is responsible for our desires and also that is what makes us looking for what is most desirable for us, what is more is that hormone dopamine is in charge of   opportunity of getting self-rewarded. And that is what social media are entirely saturated with. Factually, the influence of dopamine is that irresistible (/is irresistible at such a degree) that the addiction to reposts and likes is much stronger than the addiction to cigarettes and alcohol. Simply, the identical brain areas are stimulated while smoking and chatting. Oxytocin is also called ‘horm

Environment and study

When it comes to studying foreign languages, have you known that we can spend time with use and joy simultaneously? Let me tell you about myself. I think that any kind of listening practice is very useful, and so, why not to combine watching your favorite TV series with learning english, as for the example. And so, I usually do it before I fall asleep. Each episode basically lasts no longer than 30 minutes, and what that means is that almost daily I have 30 minutes of listening to the foreign speech. It is interesting that after a week of watching 'Avatar the last Airbender' series I found it absolutely casual not to pay any attention to the foreign speech I am listening to, as if english was my natural language.  In other words, even though some of the words could be misunderstood, I always knew what was the main idea. It comes like 'tick', after what you no longer need to strain your hearing and listen that intently, and so you just understand the meaning. Not only

Time management

Talking of time management as a skill of spending time in the most useful and effective way, I remind myself about Steve Jobs, who was and still he is the one of the greatest entrepreneurs of the world.  One of the most critical periods in his life was related to the departure from Apple Company, when the c ompany officials made Jobs leave his own-started company. Not to waste his time, right after leaving Apple company Jobs started another computer company called NeXT, after what Steve bought well-known  all the world around Pixar Animation Studios, that would later make one of the most popular movies ever created - 'Toy Story','Finding Nemo' and 'The incredibles'.  The example above illustrated how essential it is not to giveup and also not to waste your time. A true example of a great time manager of his life. Another real example of using time management skills in life is Bill Gates and what he does in sake of his company. When Gates was a student, he

My own clever school

Some of the problems of modern schools:  1) lack of free time, comminication and having fun with friends;  2) Children are dismotivated;  3) Students are exhausted because of constant learning; 4) Students are not socialized and not adapted to life because of studying as the only thing that they are cared of in their lives. Solutions: 1) Studying time limitation; 2) Free choice of the subjects to study and also of orginising their own time. 3) Making school workshops be compulsory in education. (Cooking/building/crafting/swimming/boxing/singing/violin lessons)  Also: 1) Education is now about starting friendship and partnership.  2) Class size: the less the number of students attend classes the more effective the studying is. 3) More 'life school' subjects like the lessons of psychology and survival school. 4) Uniform is serious and plain, but there are no rules of dress-code.
