Hello, my name is Tim , i'm 13 and i am a student at Russian-British school "7 keys". I'm fond of playing drums and boxing, like cooking and speaking on foreign languages.
Lifelong learning W hat lifelong learning is really like? W hy do we study? W hat for? W hat is the purpose? S ome of us have answered these questions already - we learn, we study, we revise over and over again to be clever and educated, to be aware of how to solve the problem we have, to become the complete human, and so on. P lenty oceans of knowledge are surrounding us, our choice - to dive into a few (some) of them to compare feelings, to know where and how do we feel ourselves better. P eople differently make desicions during their lifetime, they want to try themselves everywhere. T hese are the stories of those, who'd found himself and who still searchs for. A ll of us are able to get used to any conditions, that's what exactly motivate, lead us to the action. S alman Khan, a Harward University graduate is studying for a lecture he's going to give, it'll take place on YouTube, it won't last for more than ten minutes, and it will reach a potentioal audienc
Should all teaching and learning take place online now? Isn't it amazing that nowadays we can study right at home, with no books or school supplies. Without a doubt, it makes us feel pretty comfortable, studying with help of computer systems is a quite simple thing, but could it ever supersede the (school) real educational process? So what is the main argument against? Many people, including me, are against of online education because of it's form, "you and the teacher" To my mind it makes you becoming further in society. School, for the great part of the students who study on 3, on 4 is also a place where they learn what life is about, every day, they solve their real life problems, they communicate , play the team games such as basketball or football, they struggle to get use to the thick timetable, so after school, it might be easier for some of them to see the things different, to connect to the real life way. Certainly there are many arguments in favo
Modern nowadays What will be wearing in the future ? While some scientists are developing textiles that allow the wearer to generate electricity as they walk and others are working on clothes that monitor your fitness. Dr Manel Torres and Prof. Luckham have invented a spray-on-fabric. The spray contains minute cotton, wool, linen or acrylic fibres that dry instantly on your skin and turn into garments like T'shirts or tops, so you can wear it, design it, wash it , and , if you'll get bored, - even dissolve it. In our nearest tempting future, when it will go to sale, it'll probably cost around 10 pounds a can, exciting! On the other hand, exceptions can be found everywhere. For example, this is Joanne Massey, and she better prefers living in 1950s time warp! Her home is just like a 1950s time capsule with retro decor and second hand vintage appliances, she also loves 1950s fasion and never leaves the house without her 50's style bright lipstick on.
